Hasek
When I am in an individual forum and try to click on the sponsors on the right side it errors out. It happens in I.E. and Firefox and in numerous different forums. Attached are the screenshots.
RobB
Sounds like you might have your security level set too high. Depends on the version of IE and FIrefox, too. I use Chrome because of the troubles that I have with the code on modern websites being too advanced for my IE to understand. I need IE8 for work (corporate secure connections) and keep Chrome for my personal browsing. I don't use Firefox anymore, it has its share of problems (obviously). Hasek
I just tried Chrome as well Must, same result. My Firefox and Chrome have not been altered from the default settings. Did you try going to the sponsors via the route I am having issues with?
John Barresi
Howard, you're right - the links weren't working, looks like something feel out of date. I can't get to it right now, so I've disabled the sidebar for now. Will fix as soon as I have a moment to look at it. Thanks for letting me know! Hasek
Cool John. No matter on the time to rectify it, the sponsors are easily gotten to from other pages on KL as well as a search engine. I just thought you might want to know.
Skyclad01
With my Opera browser, the site sponsors section is blank. But every time I load the page, or go to any page on here, I get a download popup for a file called "default". Now when I open this site with Chrome, I dont get the download popup, but the sponsors section looks like this: Quote <!DOCTYPE> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <!-- Ads on this site are served by WP PRO Advertising System - All In One Ad Manager 4.6.17 - wordpress-advertising.com --> <script type='text/javascript' src='http://kitelife.com/wp-admin/load-scripts.php?load=jquery-core'></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://kitelife.com/wp-content/plugins/wppas/templates/js/jquery.jshowoff.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://kitelife.com/wp-content/plugins/wppas/templates/js/jquery.bxslider.min.pas.js"></script> <style type="text/css"> body { margin:0; padding:0; } HTML as you see there. Seems to me like the 2 issues are related.
John Barresi
Been going back and forth between three developers (the ad script, the forum and wordpress), now I'm working with my server techs - hope to have this resolved ASAP, thanks for the heads up, and your patience. RobB
The site doesn't seem to be working correctly in either Chrome or Internet Explorer 11. I don't have Firefox on this machine, so don't know about that.
John Barresi
The site is working, but the ads are not displaying, yes? Critical difference. Getting the aforementioned popup?
photomom
The site is working on Safari. But I've gotten HTML code for the site sponsors since around the time you went to Dubai. Didn't really affect me or my browsing and I knew you'd get to it when things settled down. I've never gotten a download popup.

RobB
oh, the content of the site is working fine. It's just the Sponsor links on the right. Chrome shows HTML code & IE pops up with the download dialog box on the bottom. Both of my screenshots were of this page, same spot, different browsers.
Skyclad01
I see sponsors in the sponsor section and am no longer getting that download pop-up!!!
John Barresi
Quick and dirty fix - still didn't find a solution to the ad server problems, so I just arranged and linked them manually. May be a page type or two on the forum that still shows broken code, let me know where if you do stumble into it. Thanks for looking out brother!
