rfcaddell
Don't know about UK, but with the quality and workmanship you get from TKS line-set they are hard to beat, don't know how much more she may charge you to ship over seas. If I lived over there I would still buy from TKS.
RobB
The major problem for our friends overseas is the VAT tax. It could potentially double+ the cost of the lines...
John Barresi
Some shops are flexible with the cost they list on the customs form, might be worth an ask.

Sent from my MediaPad T1 8.0 Pro using KiteLife mobile app If you buy bulk spools of line, you can make your own sets for about half the price of commercially made sets. The shorter sets can be made from long sets cut down to the areas with less wear on them. If you're just a bit handy it's not very difficult. You just need to establish a game plan first so that you can be consistent with distances, lengths and the way you tie the knots. Once you've done a set or two it becomes second nature, and if you mess up, just untie and try again. I don't use sleeving on the sets I tie or shorten, so I can complete a set in 20 to 30 minutes. With sleeving takes about twice as long.
DrZettl
I've found https://goodwinds.com/ has some pretty good prices for kite line and the bits required to make lineset. Check the clearance section for even cheaper prices. That said, I've never ordered from them, or had any experience making linesets. Anyone dealt with them?
