Ok yawll after much deliberation I am going to present this months Karma drawing. Unlike most of you I just recently got back into kiting so yes this karma is not going to be huge but I am so willing to give back I am giving away Half of my kite bag they will be a single line 4 meter octopus and a 2.5 meter dual line parafoil rainbow color.  a kite stake,  3 sandbags, and a line winder. I hope there is  something for everyone in this batch.
Oh the reason for May 23 that's my birthday so a perfect day to give back. Also might give a bit more time for people to get involved. Good luck to all.
Better and more images to follow.

      Some rules and guidelines:

Don’t play unless you’re willing to put up a prize and ship it to whoever wins.

Shipping is paid by the original poster, the winner pays nothing. Be prepared to ship your prize anywhere in the lower 48 US States. Sorry, but due to shipping costs, we really have to limit this to the lower 48 US States.

RULE CHANGE (7/31/2014): Members from Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii are welcome to enter the Karma drawings provided they are willing to pay half of the Karma prize shipping cost. The method and timing of the payment will be agreed upon between the two parties after the drawing for a particular prize.

You can choose the length of the giveaway, but keep it between 1 and 2 weeks.

Try to ship the prize promptly. You should be able to ship it within a week, but if you can’t, PM the winner and let them know. Sometimes life gets in the way! This whole thing works on the honor system so if there are any problems shipping or receiving a prize, it needs to be worked out between the two parties. Don’t forget…Karma!

This isn’t a competition, but feel free to be generous! If you can only put up a hat, or a tail for a stunt kite, great! If you have something in your kite bag that you never fly and would be willing to ship, that’s great too. Either way, the people that join to win it will appreciate it.

When you receive your prize, post a thank you to the thread where you won it.

The thread will be locked after that point so the new **KARMA** stays above it.

      Good luck, and have fun!

I have scored a few kites here in China, including a series of Delta Kites.  I'm all about flying with toys on the lines, lights (at night), balloons, pinwheels, line climbers, and streamers.  Problem is none of the single kites have the strength to lift the light toys (a chain of lightweight plastic lightsaber toys) that I'm trying to get airborn on their own.  The solution is to train some kites together.  So, how do I do it?
The kites are built, so I can't radically redesign them.  Attaching the upper kite to the lower kite shouldn't be done at the lower kite's spars, as it will likely deform or break them.  I don't want to have a lower kite attached to a separate line that is tied to the upper kite's line and possibly tangling them.  I just want to chain them together...
Like I've tried to indicate below.
      ---------\--------\------\
      Any Ideas?
      Thanks!

Ok, I received the Silver Fox 2.3 UL today, and it seems complicated to say the least. All I wanted is a kite that is good for low winds, and what I got is this techy, advanced and all too sophisticated kite. So lets start with what I hope is an easy question about tensioning the wing tip and we'll move to more advanced questions about weights, balasts and the color bead coded turbo bridle system(TBS) later on.
The Zephyr, before I had to return it, had a wing tip tension and leech line that had to be tied. The Silver Fox, however, has a leech line that is already looped and knotted, and a wing tip tension that looks like it is semi-tied. On the Zephyr the leech line had to be tied because you could adjust it to your flying style. Since the leech line on the Silver Fox is already looped and knotted, I'm not sure why it's even there to do anything with. Why wouldn't it just be incorporated in the kite design like it is on the Quantum? I guess it doesn't really much matter as I would assume the leech line loop is simply just looped around the nock. The problem I am having is with the wing tip tension. I can't make heads or tales out of the directions, and have no idea what I am supposed to do with it. I posted some pictures of the wing tip tension line as well as the directions.
I know it will be hard for someone to help me since it's obvious that different kites have different methods of securing wing tip tensions and leech lines. And it will be even harder given the fact that no one is here to physically help me. But have to give it a try anyway.

New Tech 6.5-ft Cascade Delta - Summer Colors

      SKU: 50350
      Sail: Ripstop Nylon
      Frame: Fiberglass
      Size: W 78" x 180" / 198 x 457cm
      Wind Range: 5-20mph
      Flying Line: 50# Line Included*
      Tail: Wide Streamers

I love this kite! Put the spreader in, attach the line, and let her soar! This keelless delta will fly nearly overhead, but won't overfly due to it’s three long flo-tails. Once overhead, this kite does not pull hard, and you can hand it to your three-year-old. No longer made by New Tech. (Probably now only available from Kite Guys.)
Never flown! You can have this kite one of two ways:
Stock— as is, right out of the bag! Suitable for winds of 5–10 mph. (*Line upgraded to 100# hollow-braided dyneema Dacron with heavy grip winder/handle.) Beach ready— Suitable for both light and stronger winds. I remove the tie loop and make an adjustable bridle, waxed for grip. I’ll do it for you or tell you how! ==
All you have to do to be entered to win is reply to the post titled **KARMA** and say “I’m in!”
      ==
I’ll give it 2 weeks, and then I’ll use the RNG to choose the winner. I’ll grab the post # (in the upper right corner) from your initial post to input. Only the first post where you join will count in the drawing. I’ll post the winner and ask them to PM me a shipping address.
Now here’s where the Karma comes in. IF YOU WANT TO JOIN TO WIN, YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO PAY IT FORWARD! If you are the winner of this just made lineset, PM me a shipping address and I’ll send it to you anywhere in the lower 48 US States. Then IT”S YOUR TURN! You must start a new post with the title just like this one.
      **KARMA**
And give something away! It can be a hat, a kite stake, a kite or anything kite related.
Some winners will give small prizes, and some will give larger, but it’s all about the giving.
Give away something that you would like to receive.
When you do your random drawing, post the winner and ask them to PM you an address, and send out their prize! Now it’s their turn!
