Lisa Bernard / Kiteworld
Anyone know anything about bridle points and line distance between kites on peter powell stack, I also have a problem with my third and forth flexi wobbling when stacking, any advice
Lisa Bernard / Kiteworld
I know I've asked this before, but sadly have had no advice. I need to iron out the wrinkles..
John Barresi
There may simply be no one here who is familiar with Peter Powell Kites.Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
photomom
I have two peter powell stunt diamonds but I have never stacked them so I'm afraid I'm no help. As for the flexies, I have a source I can ask but it will be next week as we are right in the middle of our local kite festival and everyone is crazy busy at the moment. makatakam
Two-thirds to three-quarters of the longest dimension of the kite for the length of the stack lines as a starting point. Wobble is reduced by retarding the speed of the back kite in the stack, which simply means making the bottom stack line(s) just a touch shorter. How much depends on the kite. Start with about a 1/4" (5%) on smaller kites and increase if necessary after testing. If you Google "peter powell stack" you'll see some good images that show attachment points and lengths. Short stacks require less precision than long ones.
