Yesterday was rough. A day where it was hard to stay human. One where I wanted to unleash the animal and rage. 4 AM my American Great Dane Lady Izzy Bella woke me up in distress. She asked to go outside and I saw she was bleeding from her rectum. She went to one of my Akbash Shepherd flock guardians layed down and would not get up. Got a couple quilts to keep her warm and Beksi stayed with her until it was time to go to the vet. The doc doesn't get in till 7:45 and it was one long long wait. Izzy was one tough girl but passed 10 minutes after I got her there. She was only 4 and I was not prepared for this at all. Doubt she could have been saved had I gotten her there immediately. Spent the morning preparing her grave where she is in excellent company with other lost friends. Had many wonderful dogs in my life.  Izzy was the kindest most gentle dog Iv'e ever had the privilege of knowing. She is greatly missed.Got done with my task, not quite knowing what to do with myself. Tried playing some music but it was just sad stuff so I stopped. Really wanted to fly. Winds were running 15 and I knew my concentration would be off. Frustration would ensue, anger would come and I'd probably break something.Popped onto the forum and the kind words and banter is just what I needed. For me when I lose one of my animal friends the 1st feeding after the loss is the hardest. Then the soothing starts to come. It's coming now. Winds are running 8 mph + or- a bit.Going to go fly the White Widow. That glorious smooth flight is much needed this morning. Thanks all.

So very sorry for your loss.  There's way too much good company up there waiting for a reunion one day.  So very hard losing a family member whether they be furry or of the human kind.  Despite her life not being the length it should have, sounds like she was very much loved by you and I bet the years you shared were wonderful.
