Just a few of the kite flying videos we’ve enjoyed over the past couple of weeks…

Some new, some older, but all great representations of kiting skill and spirit.

Kites at Syracuse Elementary

The kites-to-school program of the Antelope Island Stampede Festival brought professional indoor kite demonstrators to Syracuse Elementary where they exhibited quad line flying, indoor gliders and kite making with a focus on community, art and science.

NOTE: The opening credits are incomplete, iQuad members (John Barresi, TK Barresi, Spence Watson and Bazzer Poulter) were NOT the only presenting kite fliers at this school… Equally involved were Ron Gibian, Ron Bohart, Rod & Cindy Thrall, Ronda Brewer, Lindsey Johnson, all thanks to the support of Kevin Bayless and Davis County (UT).

Flexifoil Navaro (by Kieron Jansch)

“Time certainly does fly! It feels like only yesterday that I was tramping around the Mojave with my camera for the first time, and yet, here I am, just finishing an edit from my second trip out there! This year the Flexi team were testing out their new and improved kite buggy, the Navaro. I shadowed the team as they put the new buggy through its paces. This little film is the result.”

“When I wasn’t filming I spent my time catching up with old friends, making new ones, and enjoying the clean winds and endless freedom of the desert. It’s a hard life.”

The Kite Man

A documentary film on the work of Archie Stewart, master kiter and educator. Directed by Omonike Akinyemi and produced by Image Quilt Productions.

Riding Hard, Flying Low!

This video is two years old, but still shows brilliant kiting spirit…

“Filmed, Featured, Edited, Comentated 100% by kiteboarders,
This is what we love to do, and we love to share our fun.”

Dean Jordan talks about kite design and copying

Slightly tongue in cheek, a passionate discussion by passionate people – captured on film by Ben Huggett at the 2012 Antelope Island Stampede (Utah).
