Video Kite Tutorials (free and premium)
One of our ongoing projects is the creation of essential video sport kite tutorials that appeal to both beginners and hard core fliers on dual or quad line kites – over twenty five years of experience go into our videos… Thindexe tutorials are casual in nature but very detailed, working through basic to master techniques so that viewers can learn and improve their kite flying at a comfortable, yet efficient speed.
Most of our outdoor tutorials are picture-in-picture (PIP), showing both kite and hands at work – while we do favor certain kite models, these tutorials will translate to most any other comparable kite(s).
Roughly HALF of our kite tutorials (focused on basic beginner and intermediate competency) are free to view on YouTube, only the advanced content is limited to paid subscribers.
We are very proud of this archive, as it still serves as the benchmark collection of instructional videos available for quad and indoor flying in particular.

Even though I’ve flown dual line indoor quite a few times over the years, there was still lots of good info in the videos for a slightly “experienced” pilot. John’s explanation of the dynamics of indoor flying are great, and then there is a nice intro to Rodeo Style.
Giddy Up!
I first watched the hover and line management videos that were available free. I was impressed with the quality of the videos and how well the picture in picture worked! These totally hooked me and I knew I needed to have these videos in my personal collection. John’s method for learning the inverted hover was key to me *FINALLY* getting it!
I find it a bit scary that I just spent 10 minutes watching a video on winding and unwinding lines. Still deciding if I should admit I liked it. I’m definitely not going to admit I learned something. Now if I can just avoid hitting Enter by accident no one need ever know.
I really enjoy flying anything with more than one line on it, and sometimes just one… End of the day though, one of the most enjoyable aspects of kiting that I’ve experienced over the past several years has been getting more knowledge and information out there to fliers, watching them spread their wings and find some of the same joy I’ve found in the pastime.
