Many of you have heard the idea that if you could get six million monkeys with six million typewriters (or, Macs), through the liberal application of statistics, they will eventually type up a copy of some Shakespeare. However, this month, there is one monkey and one Mac so, there isn’t very good odds that there will be any Shakespeare within this issue. This month, John’s travel schedule is such that he felt he needed to turn over all the fun work to me, so I’m wearing the Editor cap for this issue.
John has been to Niagara, the AKA Nationals, Lincoln City, Japan, Australia and he’s currently in Argentina, all within the last two months. Hopefully the magazine looks much like it always does, I’ve for the most part followed in the same road as we have for many issues. My nefarious plot to redo the entire issue in Helvetica fell upon deaf ears.

Lucky me, this issue is also one of the largest we have run in a long time, coming in at THIRTY separate sections, including a brand new column we will be featuring in every issue, written by Corey Jensen and a revival of an editor’s column called “Kites… Life”.
It should be noted, we received several reports from visitors to the Kitelife site that they were getting trojan warnings from their antivirus software after loading up our home page, and a few others. We researched the problem for a few weeks, poring through code, looking for the problem, until we picked up on a nifty article that pointed out similar issues with sites using theDoubleclick ad server, one of those used on Kitelife.
Needless to say, all of those offending ads have been removed, making our site safe once again! If you find any of these trojan-loading ads that we missed, or experience any other problems while using the Kitelife site, please don’t hesitate to contact the Publisher immediately.
Given this issue has arrived on December 1st, its worthwhile mentioning that Christmas is 25 days away and you know, we have a large selection of kite-related stuff in the Kitelife Store that be great for any kite flyers on your list. Or maybe a membership to Kitelifers.com for the vast area of videos and other extra goodies? That doesn’t even require shipping, it’ll be instant! And from all of us here at Kitelife, have an excellent holiday season, any way you choose to celebrate it.
Cordially yours,
David Hathaway
