I recently purchased a Cherry Bomb with my girlfriend last weekend and flew a kite for the first time with her. As soon as I got the kite up in the air I became intrested in the sport and decided to buy a dual line kite of my own. Unfortunatley I'm having a hard time deciding which one to buy. My spending limit is 140 dollars so I'm not against buying a better grade kite. I'm also a pretty quick learner and tend to prefer buying a product that will last me not only in quality but intrest as well so I'm leaning more toward the advance kites in hopes to have many tricks to learn. What's tough is that all these kite websites catalogue the same kites in different difficulties. The "Quantum" stunt kite, one which I'm intrested in, has been labled a beginner by some and an advance by others. I've brought my intrest down to two kites:
The "Quantum" which I mentiones earlier and "The French Connection" by Dodd Gross. I was also reccommended a "KL eXtreme" by a guy at the kite store I was inquiring at but I think he was pushing it because it was a product of the actual shop.
Does anyone know which of these two or three kites might be better for a serious learner with a bit of experience? What makes one kite better than the other? Also could someone enlighten me what yo-yo gliders , yo-yo bars and a roll up cage are?
