  1. IMO, the "banana belt" extends over to the Pt Townsend point and goes from there to Blanchard Hill over by Chuckanut and the south edge cuts across the middle of Whidbey Ilsand. South Whidbey seems to get more rain than the central and north part. The wind can be blowin strong west here and up at Chuckanut there will be dead calm. That's the convergence zone causing that. It's weird and consistent. Weird because it exists. Not really any big fields around that are not cultivated. The rangers at Camp Casey wouldn't go for it. It would disturb the wildlife........pppppffffffttttt I flew my Rev at Ft Casey yesterday. We have also been flying electric RC aircraft there lately. That works as long as there is no crowd.
  2. No significant other.......if there was, I would not be able to quit work LOL...... Thanks for the reply.......I'm on Whidbey, near Coupeville. There are really no beaches that are free of rocks to buggy here but the south end of the island has a huge tidal flat that would be possible mainly for practice but that depends on extreme low tides once every couple months and then coupled with the luck that the wind is blowing. I fly here at Ft Casey state park (not the big field we use for the annual festival), sometimes at the golf couse in the practice chipping area (with permission). For south winds, the Oak Harbor city beach park is ok but you have to watch where you walk cause of all the dog poop. Makes for a good coordination test.....keep your eyes at the sky but don't step on anything LOL

    Hey Penny!

Hey! I just quit my miserable job I had for the winter. Now I have some time and $$ again. What Washington coastal beaches allow kite buggies? I heard it's illegal at a lot of them. BTW, I was flying your big Rev at the Whidbey Island Festival last year in case you are trying to figure out who I am. I need to fly more. I have a nice E2 now and of course my old Rev I. Maybe catch ya somewhere this spring....
  4. For Penny - I found the Kite Fairy!!! Thanks for letting me try the Super Blast, I was amazed it flew in such lite wind...AWESOME! I mean't to ask if you have your own buggy and what kind? I may be able to afford one next spring. That was fun flying in the fog huh?? LOL Breezes Rich
