Chewie I have only recently started flying Revs and was recommended to get a Rev 1 (cheaper than a 1.5 SLE and more docile) and buy some SLE rods for the Rev 1 when I can afford it. I've never regretted it, thoughI did weaken and buy a 1.5 SLE but that was because it has a custom made sail from PBSK.

Are they modified in any way or do they fly as the standard Rev1, with teh changes purely cosmetic?

I see mention on this forum of Sedgewick Revs. What's the difference between one of those and a standard Rev 1? Are Sedgewicks still made, if so, who sells them? Happy flying Nic

Innocent question: what's a quad stick?

Hi, another newbie here, a certified 'child of the Revolution', recent convert from 2 lines. I have a customised Rev 1.5 SLE (a PBSK appliqued beauty) and a standard Rev 1. I like the rigidity of the SLE and also the way a Rev1 flies. I know several people have put SLE spars in a Rev 1 - how does it affect the flying, is it worth doing, rather than buying another kite? I am also thinking about getting UL spars for the Rev 1 to give me a full range of flying conditions. Is this a good idea? BTW, love the site and the forum - lots to learn from! If moderators keep info about how people come across the site, I was givena link to John's Looney Tunes performance, being told it is the 'standard to aspire to!'
