About Me

I've been a kite flyer since my parents bought me my first single string kite when I was 4. At least thats the earliest I can remember. I got my first stunt kite when I was in the 3rd grade shortly after moving to Alaska, and have been hooked on multi line kites ever since. My 4 quads include 3 Revs: the Rev Back Tracker, a Rev Supersonic, a Rev B-1.5 Vented (on order, not here yet), and then the classic Quadrafoil.

By trade I'm a photographer, and an electrician. I spent 7 years active duty in the Navy as a communications electrician, a security force member, and all around "does it all," "go to guy." (which frequently got me into trouble). Now, I work as an aircraft mechanic. By many people, I am considered a Jack of All Trades. Because there isn't much that I can't do, or wont do given the opportunity to learn. I hate to be limited in what I can do, and love to learn new things.

I live in Montana, and where I live, we almost ALWAYS have wind. And more often than not, have too much of it to fly much of anything. I'm glad to now be an owner of a new Vented Rev B-1.5 and Silver Fox 2.5 Vented. Finally some high wind kites I can get out and use!! I was a member of the AKA and Alaskiters Club when I lived in Alaska, a good many years ago (elementary school days). I've been out of the kiting world for many years, partly because of the Navy, and partly because there really aren't many (if any) fliers in Montana. (which kinda blows my mind, considering the wind we get here) And until just recently I didn't have any high wind kites.

I'm a Falconer. A lifes dream come true for me. There are very few things better than working with, and watching these birds of prey do what they do.

I'm into anything that flies really. Regular aircraft, RC planes and helis., kites, birds, skydiving. I would like to get into Paragliding, and hang gliding at some point. Just don't have the money for it right now. (and with the cost of kites and related equipment, it will be quite some time yet still).
