  1. Are we ready people.... I've used an anti-shake filter on you tube. Writing isn't centered. Sorry. Enjoy video anyhow
  2. At festival of the winds I was flying almost 10 hours a day!Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk What i think you are saying is that handles should be in the slouched position (as jb says) thumbs pointing up at you as the balance point. 3. I respect that everyone is trying to help. I also respect that you have been flying longer than me. I respect that you know what you are talking about. ... But all this talk has confused me like what happened at festival of the winds. I have always flown to feel. That's how I taught myself to fly. If I am unable to reverse up from a hover. I tune my leaders. Simple. Tune accordingly til I'm comfortable. I think what everyone is saying that I need to have more control with reverse flight. Since rev has a lot of positive drive already built in. Am I correct? Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk

  5. My neutral is close to balanced. I fly better with 15 knots of wind because I can feel the kite. Can feel which lines need more pressure to achieve desired results. From what I can make out with everything people have said is: High winds you want balanced setup. Light winds you want tops longer to angle kite for maximum lift. No wind again more balanced to maximize sail area. I think my problem is that im using same settings for light winds and strong winds. That's why in lighter winds I always have to give whump to keep kite up. But if I made top longer by one knot this will angle kite and hence provide more lift. Am I getting closer to the mark?????[emoji15] Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk
  6. Little something meanwhile......
  7. stay tuned people. Have my best kids video to date I reckon. Maybe release in day or so. Some nice control if I do say so myself. However I'll let you people be the judge of that.... stay tuned.......
  8. Sorry. Brain wave. In lighter winds you want more angle on kite to give more lift. Therefore longer tops. Stronger winds you want more balanced set up to eliminate the forward drive from rev. Therefore top and bottom lines are closer together to being equal length. Hence kite sitting squarer which means less forward drive. Is that what you are talking about???? Thanks again jb. My brain isn't its best first thing in morning. [emoji42] Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk
  9. I don't understand comment. Stronger winds require longer tops. Yes. But this is not going to make kite square to wind. It will angle kite, therefore have less drag from wind. Oh I'm understanding concept but my brain gets tangled in a knot[emoji30] Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk
  10. Now I am really confused jb. You say in stronger winds you have longer tops. Yes. This will make kite on an angle so it won't be square to the wind. Lighter winds you want kite square to wind to harness all available breeze. This to me means more equal top and bottom lines so kite is squarer to wind.. That's what I understand. Am I right or wrong in what I am saying? Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk
  11. I understand how tuning works. In stronger winds you want more angle on the kite so that it isn't square to the wind and therefore has less sail harnessing the wind so therefore more control. Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk
  12. Some single hand flying with Frankie
  13. I need to stop with this stop start style and focus on being smooth and controlled. Its just that over here in Sydney people aren't looking to see shapes drawn in the sky. But if you swoop down from nowhere and stop inches from ground and hover for a minute or so seems to pull the crowds more than drawing circles, diamonds, squares etc. But I do respect where you are coming from. We have no competitive flying here in AUSTRALIA. To be honest I don't think there is anyone in Sydney who flies a rev regularly. My mate Mike (who i have flown with before) prefers to fly his dual line stunt (trick) kite. That is where its at for him. For me its a rev. I struggle with trick (stunt) kiting (dual line). My brain needs time to process, (Bit slow).........
  14. check this one out people..... Like for hanging under tree....
  15. When you say add an inch of down. What do you mean? Longer or shorter bottom lines. I think it means longer bottom but that will take me away from slouched position. So I think you are saying to be more slouched, which means longer top. Am I correct or do I have no idea?????[emoji31] Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk
  16. Yes. But everyone is saying that my handles are too straight. I need to be more slouched. This will eliminate forward drive hence more control on reverse. Am I correct in what I am saying???????? Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk
  17. But yes too much feel can work against you especially in stronger winds. Then I think it becomes too twitchy. So yes tuning is a big thing to remember. When flying at grandstand. Winds started off light. Half way thru fly it increased. I didn't tune kite again because I know that wind was dirty at urban park. So I like to have something up my sleeve for when winds slow down. So I don't need to re-tune. Just keep flying. If I was going to constantly tune according to wind I'll never get any flying done. That's how bad urban conditions are like this time of year. If you notice at beginning of video I pull off a 360. Seconds later flags are stiff. From one extreme to the other! Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks for your input Paul. I'll try keeping that in mind. I learnt to fly alone. So it is possible that I have picked up bad habits. I need to be able to feel the kite. So I may tend to be brake heavy if that makes sense. I like having some pull on sail so it makes it easier to feel my way around kite and sky. I learnt to fly by feel. I need to be able to feel wind strength. Gives me more feel of wind at given location, hence flying looks better. Hope that makes sense. Thanks again everyone[emoji5] Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk
  19. Well stay tuned in that case. Got some cracker videos ready to upload to my channel. Think they might be more your cup of tea. [emoji13] Sent from my GT-S7275T using Tapatalk
  20. like for flying in nets
