Where to fly in Bellevue, WA?

Hi

I am in Bellevue, WA for the week. After getting in late last night, I scouted a downtown park but it wasn't good for flying. Anyone know of any park or open space in Bellevue or near it that would be decent for kite flying? Thanks.

Hi David!

You might try going a bit north, to Kirkland, and drop down to the waterfront. There is a nice park along the north end of Lake Washington. Nice sandy shoreline. However...could have lots of people there too

Bellevue is kinda boxed in with buildings and trees and hills.....

Or, head north on I405 to 520, head West across the lake, and visit Kite Hill (Magnusen Park).

It's about as close to a kiting Meca as you'll find in the area.

On a weekend, you'll probably find other fliers there even.

Issquah -> pinelake park has a pretty big lawn where you can see people flying kites. [Not like Seattle's Kite hill though].
