  1. Hi, I need advice on the following: Is it possible to fly a stack of 3 kites (8ft wingspan) in winds of up to 30mph? (Crazy idea, to be flown on water jet-ski with flyer on backseat facing rear). Wind will be created artificially as well (hence up to 30mph) Would normal carbon or graphite frame be strong enough for the lead kite in the stack? What would you recommend? Lines: based on the above scenario, would 375LB lines be strong enough to fly? Cheers, Layangman
  2. Not at all surprising...based on the build quality and performance, the SF is value for money. The kite's design plays a part, but its the pilot's skills that counts.
  3. I would go for the Silver Fox 2.5 (STD or UL). No need to lay out that much $$$
  4. Thanks for the tip/info. I've been flying stunt kites for many years, just recently trying out tricking. Been watching some videos, now I understand what's a "pop", cheers.
  5. Hi, I am very new in tricking, just started flying 2 days ago and it was pretty frustrating OK, read some of the thread here...so, what's a "pop" action? Is it just a quick snap of the wrist? Thanks.
  6. Aw...shucks How come nobody's taking action against them? What about those that make their own kites that resembles REV? One of the post here - "mini quad" looks like a REV as well.
  7. OK, mind's set on an <brand name deleted> which I saw on eBay. What do you think, since I am into power kites, this seems like a good quad to start with. Was told this can fly in low wind like 3mph, any opinions?
  8. Hello Penny, Thanks for the tip and patience to explain to me in detail appreciate it. I will get another slower quad kite to learn the basics. Penny, I have watched you on youtube and some other video clips...you're awesome, wish I could fly like you, especially indoors
  9. Yep...it was fast alright. So I need a slower quad line kite to learn...ok, looks like I have to start saving for a slower speed REV Thanks for the idea, now I've the excuse to buy one.
  10. Hi All, Hope I can get some help here!! I owned a REV II since 1993, but did not get any air time with it since. Today I discovered the kite in the store room and took it out since it was a pretty windy day. I have some experience with dual line kites, but it seems hard to control the quad. Anywhere I can get some tips or online videos on how to fly a REVII? Any form of help is highly appreciated. Cheers from sunny Singapore
