  1. Happy Birthday Mr Barresi, hope you had a great day.
  2. thanks for your thoughts , I'll be pinching the brass hooks and the 1" x 2" idea and giving it a try. Interesting thoughts on the Armour all. Be interested to see if anyone else has tried something similar with the same or different results.
  3. I'll remember this when the decent weather arrives and I can get to a beach👍
  4. So I was wondering what if anything the good folks of the forum do to care for your flying lines? I have a couple of sets of pro gold lines and other than; Check for stretch and adjust. Keep them on a winder in a bag so they aren’t damaged in transit etc Visual check as I unwind / wind in I don’t do anything else…. I wondered what others do. Do people clean their lines? Lubricate them in some way? or any other care routines…interested to hear your thoughts on this.
  5. congratulations. another great give away...enjoy it😀
  6. That’s exactly what I ended up doing, got some Dacron of another forum member, all good for now.👍
  7. Hi, thanks for your reply. I haven't been flying in excessive winds for the kite but she has had a few bumps. I have fixed this now with the help of another forum member oapbillf. They very kindly sent me some dacron and I have made 4 patches and reinforced both sides of both wing tips. I have added a picture of the original damage. All the washers etc are in place IMG_7942.heic
  8. Hi, looking for some help. On one side of my rev xx the holes that the bungee passes through on the lower wing tip have elongated by about 8mm. Now I wan to repair this to stop it getting any worse. The sail material has given as well as the reinforcing / fairly rigid sheet plastic on the back side of the sail. My thought is to try and find some of the same material that reinforces the wing tip and glue (CA) this over the damaged area, then make a hole in the correct place and pass the bungee through the repair. Any thoughts / advice? I think this may have happened on a very clumsy high speed leading edge impact landing that snapped the vertical spar on that side. The tension isn"t excessive in the bungee. Any thoughts let me have them, cheers .
  9. congratulations to the winners enjoy those lines , very generous to throw in a second prize.😀
  10. Thanks Stephen , we have a chandlers in town, I'll pay a visit in passing.... .................picked up some bungee and replaced partly on a couple of kites,. Much improved no flutter and no lumpy knots catching on the ground at the leading edge
  11. good point on using what's available as a supplier🙂
  12. Evening everyone Picking some brains here. I need to replace some of the bungee cord on my rex RX and XX. I don't want to buy the rev spare endcap kits as it seems a really expensive way to get hold of some bungee cord. So I had a look on eBay and a couple of other places and I can buy bungee cord in all sorts of lengths. But what is the correct spec? Sizing seems to be in diameter. Anyone know the spec used or I can rely on a rough measure, or do I go for the spec I think is right and then tension as I think to get the desired tension in the sail etc. Hope this makes sense as it appears to be a bit of a ramble
  13. Thanks for the reply detailing your experience. I still think its worth doing as it opens up the choice beyond a genuine rev. Only problem then is too much choice🙂
  14. Anyone imported a quad from Europe or the USA? Can you remember the import tax %? I'm thinking of importing any pitfalls or problems or particular sellers you would recommend or not?
  15. View Advert Rev xx or rev rx wanted Hi looking for a rev xx or rev rx. Standard , mid vented , fully vented I aren't concerned with the colour as long as its in excellent condition, lines and handles would be a bonus.
