Led by veteran pilots Scott Weider, Paul de Bakker and myself, this dual line kite workshop is for beginner though master levels, starting from the ins and outs of your equipment on up through fundamental flight techniques and trick flying - we'll also have a few Prism kites on hand for folks to try their hand at team and "ground play" flying without fear of damaging valuable equipment. 3. Dear forum, I want to share with you a video I made, a project really. This project took me about six months, four locations, 2 continents, 3 kites, 1 Xiaomi Yi sport camera, one John Lenon, some improvisation, and a lot of patience. The idea was to make a video of stunt kite tricks from a completely new perspective. The innovation of filming from the kite's perspective has an added value, meaning the simple fact of seeing everything from the other side, watching the affect of the lines on the kite, having a closer look on the work of the bridle, etc. Also, I hope that the international locations would add even more color to the backdrop, as it were. I'm no master in kite tricking. On the contrary, I bow my head to the masters and veterans, from whom I still have a lot to learn. But I do want to contribute to this incredible sport and its amazing international community, which I have grown to love and appreciate over the last two years. I hope that in some small way, I'm doing my part in growing the sport, drawing more followers to it, and possibly shedding a new, although possibly pocket size, light on things. I had a lot of fun making it. I hope you enjoy watching it. http://youtu.be/89vmM2UUzag
  4. I've been searching for instructions or a step by step tutorial on how to perform a 2 point landing. The most I got was this video, which shows a guy doing it over and over again. Cool vid but his hands move so fast I can't seem to get the whole thing down. I have been trying this for a little while now and the best I can do is get a stall a bit off the ground. I've walked it forward and it floats down but I can't seem to get the snappiness I see others do when performing the 2 point landing. Can someone either direct me to or provide me with a good step by step on doing the 2 point landing in the middle of the window? Thanks in advance. I'm new to organized flying and really want to get better at flying with intent. Augustus
  5. I've been playing around with my Chiroptera glider a little. Making up my own flight patterns and figures is great fun, but I'm wondering if there are any glider-specific tricks I could be practicing..... I've searched around a bit, and read mention of the "Flat Spin", but I have yet to see one performed. I think. Know of any glider tricks?? Please post them here!
