Hey! I just quit my miserable job I had for the winter. Now I have some time and $$ again. What Washington coastal beaches allow kite buggies? I heard it's illegal at a lot of them. BTW, I was flying your big Rev at the Whidbey Island Festival last year in case you are trying to figure out who I am. I need to fly more. I have a nice E2 now and of course my old Rev I. Maybe catch ya somewhere this spring.... :):(

Hi Rich.. My super blast! Woo Hoo.. Makes wme want to fly it!

Rich.?. I know there were two gentlemen at the end that flew. One with a wife or girlfriend on site and one there on his own. Which one were you? I'll guess the one with the significant other?

You are right about buggying being illegal in most places in WA. At the end of Gray's Harbor south of Wesport is the only *legal place. You actually have to sign up at Westport Twin Harbors park for a permit! Quite often people buggy in other remote beaches and get away with it. Or go the extra hour to Sunset Beach, Or and have a super blast!

We went up a few blocks at Ocean Shores a couple of years ago, the policeman watched as we buggyied, or flew out of the camper door whiile it was storming. We were only a danger to ourselves. :)

Are youon the whidbey Island? You have feilds to fly.. just no beach that I can think of.

Yes, this spring.. we should try to have a forum fun fly... huh?

No significant other.......if there was, I would not be able to quit work LOL......

Thanks for the reply.......I'm on Whidbey, near Coupeville. There are really no beaches that are free of rocks to buggy here but the south end of the island has a huge tidal flat that would be possible mainly for practice but that depends on extreme low tides once every couple months and then coupled with the luck that the wind is blowing.

I fly here at Ft Casey state park (not the big field we use for the annual festival), sometimes at the golf couse in the practice chipping area (with permission). For south winds, the Oak Harbor city beach park is ok but you have to watch where you walk cause of all the dog poop. Makes for a good coordination test.....keep your eyes at the sky but don't step on anything LOL

There's a joke in there somewhere. Yup, I think I know which one you are. :( Geesh, you'd think an Island would have some place to buggy. That's to bad. No big fields?.. oh, wait.. I kinda remember an odor... nevermind. lol

Yup, the ocean is the best place or a large field that is ok'd for buggying.

To bad the ocean is so far away. But lets keep it there. :)

We've had beautiful days with no wind.. so inside flying is nice now and much warmer. Have you tried that yet?

Ft. Flagler would be nice. I should check their weather report. It's in a bannana belt. Is Ft. Worden in the bannana belt, too?

Have a great day.

IMO, the "banana belt" extends over to the Pt Townsend point and goes from there to Blanchard Hill over by Chuckanut and the south edge cuts across the middle of Whidbey Ilsand. South Whidbey seems to get more rain than the central and north part. The wind can be blowin strong west here and up at Chuckanut there will be dead calm. That's the convergence zone causing that. It's weird and consistent. Weird because it exists. Not really any big fields around that are not cultivated. The rangers at Camp Casey wouldn't go for it. It would disturb the wildlife........pppppffffffttttt

I flew my Rev at Ft Casey yesterday. We have also been flying electric RC aircraft there lately. That works as long as there is no crowd.
