  1. Yes, smooth wind is ... I even set up my flight simulator for a tall ridge for lift, and sup-up the wind to 25 knots w/ gusts to thirty, and simulate w/ a hang glider delta ... its what a kite flyer does at three AM, or in heavy weather.
  2. my little prism micron has a thirty foot tail, and it still fly's like its on steroids...its a maniac.
  3. Excellente ... love the dancing and choreography, Flight space and wind look perfect.
  4. Whiskey Run Beach, OR. Not a soul... Just other Para gliders, and me... all day with 15 to 20 knots and patchy clouds until the marine layer said overcast...
  5. I am a beginner as well, I started flying in May, so I've only got a couple months experience, and with the great wind and weather I've managed to fly just about everyday... of course I'm retired... but I bought a HQ 1.4, to start for a quad cause I had back fusion and didn't want to press my luck... well I'm here to say Its wonderful and the muscle that has been working has helped my back. Also the size was just right... not to much pull but just enough to get the adrenalin pumping ... hope my experience helps... cheers
  6. You guys got me all excited, its blowin 15 out so I'm goin flyin....

I love reading these experiments in flight... love to see that video too...
  8. Cheers Tammy, welcome aboard... I think that is the pursuit of all kite fliers ... always looking for new flight worthy locations. Have Fun!
  9. Line management, Interesting, I too have had a heart condition, and my eye sight had been effected, I'll have to try that. I can feel real spastic when I can't control my line, let alone see it...but I manage just the same... Thanks Wayne As far as John's video, it seemed to open up my awareness of new flight locations... :Thanks John.. .
  10. Thanks for the video Wayne, I was going to ask how long of a wand ... By the way is it your video of flying under the bridges on the Willamette, in Portland? I think it was on a power boat? Truly, enjoyable...
  11. As been said practice cuts time for line management, but I still do a walk through either visually or with my fingers. I seem to always have a drooping brake line, Part of the fun ... to adjust...
