Penny Lingenfelter Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Hi Theresa, Are you out there this morning? What did you say the UFO ferrel was? A .22? I went to hobby and hardware stores. I have to check Home Depot at lunch. Otherwise, I've got to get off early to get to the welding/pipefitting store before they close. Any info in the right direction would be appreciated. Tks! nckiter Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Penny, I have had luck with brass tubing purchased through a local hobby / art supply store. It seems to hold up as well as the original. Quote
The Kite Shoppe Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Penny.... it's a .122 I think. The .125 brass ferrules fit too....need to glue one end..... I'll bring you a couple this weekend. T Quote
Penny Lingenfelter Posted August 16, 2006 Author Report Posted August 16, 2006 Thanks Theresa, lol I'm not sure a couple will do it. I have several UFO's. The stainless steel (?) ones that came with it didn't break. They popped off never to be seen by my bad eyes again. Since then I've learned to tape or glue them on and to avoid soft aluminum. I guarantee you, if you bring them, you can probably help people out-maybe even me if I continue to have no luck. I have been trying to find a long piece to cut before I leave. Home Depot, NaPa, Small engine store, and 2 hobby shops earlier today and nothing! Now I'm just sweaty and hungry. I'll try looking for it in brass. We have been asking for it in any material besides copper and rubber. Tks you two. .122 or .125 brass. BB Penny~mumbling under her breath. Quote
