I went out to the elemetry school twice today. The good news is I have found my stomping ground but dont have a kite to fly at the moment. I was out flying in the afternoon in 5-10MPH wind that started shifting faster than I could move the kite to stay in it and ran into standing water a few times from all the rain. My brother came over and I was showing him the E2 and he stepped on one of the lower spreaders. It has a .5" split in it now so I'll go ahead and get a spare but I dont think it weakend the rod any.

The wind got real good around 9 so I went back out for night flying. Less water and it was a steady 10MPH w/ 15MPH gusts. The kite looked metalic when it reflected the availible lighting. I managed to do a perfect Axel, but cant say I ment to or could do it again. After an hour the wind started picking up a lot and I wish I had brought the 85'x150# lines with me. I think it was as much as 25-30MPH at times. I crashed and got the kite back up, launched it and immediately let go of the lines because noticed one line was behind the wing tip. It was too late, I snapped the lower leading edge at the metal sleave.

I didnt break it!

The metal sleave came unglued and slid up on the upper edge. I have super glued it back in place. I'm glad it didnt fall off in the field somewhere.
