Guru4tru
====================================================================== Duane, Hasn't anyone fessed up and told you that Tristan's not a real person? Honest, he's just a video creation, created to cause undue frustration to the geriatric generation. Sorry you got sucked in ... Cheers, Tom -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Tom, Hey!! Did you check out these videos!!!! OK...You all got me with the Tristan Computer Animations...BUT, I'm not as stupid as I was then...I'm not going to fall for this one!! WHAT!! Are we trying to fly kites...OR...are we seeing who is the best at impossible computer simulations?!?! Keep It Up! Duane

Guru4tru
Dear John, (Sounds like I'm kissing you off...but that isn't the case...we're just starting!) As the saying goes, "The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray!" Well, my plan was to resign from "Guru-ing" and "Go fly a kite!" (My mentor once said, "When you forget how bad it was and you can't feel their pain...then it's time for you to get out of the game!") But the Guru-ing thing seems to be more active then planned, (more active then ever), in spite of my poor memory..."and" I move with what "IS". --------------------- But, I have a request to make from you. One of the most difficult things to get across when teaching "Gedo Zen" (an outside way) is the break down that occures between the subject and object...when things are at a "Oneness". I can see it at times out here...here and there, but it is usually fleeting..but I see it in your "Dock Play" videos, which are on tape; and I would like to use those videos in my teachings, with your permission. When someone takes a wide view of those videos and drops their thoughts about the videos...they can not help but become conscious of this "Oneness" between object and subject that is occurring. The man and the kite...the kite and the man...the mankite...the kiteman...YES!!! (It's there!!!...but don't expect to see "IT" for yourself or you will have just interfered with "IT"!!...that deserves a funny face!! Keep It Up! Respectfully, Duane

Jeepster
Hi Tom, Hey!! Keep It Up! Duane Duane, Yea, it's frustrating I know, but John is not an animation!!! I really do love the videos like dock play. What looks like an impossible area to fly in becomes a fun place. And, there is almost always a move or two that I can try to duplicate. Plus, the anticipation of watching him step off the dock and join the kite in the water does add to the charm. Cheers, Tom
