John Barresi
I am overjoyed to announce that final agreements have been made with the charming Val Govig of Kite Lines Magazine to republish the entire collection to the world wide web as we've already done with SKQ... Published from the mid-70's to the late 90's, Kite Lines provided the most thorough, varied and concise collection information and history of any kiting publication to date! Now, we need your help! We have no copies in our office, and would prefer to leave Val's original copies safely in her hands... If any of you have a COMPLETE collection of Kite Lines in good condition, we would like to have 20 or so copies loaned to us (starting from the earliest) for 6 months at a time, during which we will scan and convert each issue before returning them to their owner (postage paid by us coming and going). Would you like to help us launch this historical project, and share the wealth of Kite Lines with the entire world wide web? Please get in touch with me directly either by email or phone at 503-890-0280... I hope to hear from you!
The Kite Shoppe
Congratulations John! Now you really have your work cut out for you! Although, I know...this is not really work at all for you, but a labor of Love and Sharing, that we oh so much appreciate!! Now...let's hope for that subscriber base to climb in 2005! As well as the hosting plans that you can provide to all who are interested. Kind of like, let's keep it in the family, the kiting community, and work together to grow Kitelife.com and spread the word!! Kiters...do you all realize what John does here? Support and contribute to this passion we are all addicted to!!!! Happy New Year!!! Theresa
John Barresi
Now you really have your work cut out for you! Although, I know...this is not really work at all for you, but a labor of Love and Sharing, that we oh so much appreciate!! You hit it right on the head... Lots of work to do, but it moves me. Now...let's hope for that subscriber base to climb in 2005! As well as the hosting plans that you can provide to all who are interested. Kind of like, let's keep it in the family, the kiting community, and work together to grow Kitelife.com and spread the word!! Well, if you figure anywhere from 5MB-10MB per issue, and 50 issues... That is a lot of hosting space and bandwidth going to use. We could definitely use help via more subscribers!
