CLTKiter Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 I know this is probably old hat to many readers of the forum, but today I sneaked off work a little early and stopped by my neighborhood middle school on the way home. The little guys were through with the soccer field, so I pulled out my kite bag (that I now always keep in the trunk) and got in about an hour of flying before dark. It was a little over 70 deg -- a far cry from the 16" of snow we had last Friday. The wind was light (abt 3-5 mph), so it was good that I had my SUL. I just had to tell someone. It has been a very stressful week, and being able to just fly around for about an hour really unwound me. Sure is good to be a kiter... Doug Quote
oyehut1955 Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 I am very lucky to have a employer who will sometimes let me fly on the job. She knows and understands my love of flying. Sometimes just those few quick stolen moments are all we need to feel whole again.... debbie Quote
CLTKiter Posted March 9, 2004 Author Report Posted March 9, 2004 You are indeed fortunate. My boss knows how much I enjoy kiting, but isn't as forgiving as yours. You're absolutely right about the fact that a little time with the wind makes one much more at peace. I find that I enjoy the company of other kiters, but when I'm alone with the breeze and my Rev..... Kinda hard to describe... Doug Quote
