Jay Farlow
Sorry for the delay. I'll let JB reply soon. No worries, TK. As long as I hear something before you get to the Ohio/Michigan/Indiana area, that will be fine.
John Barresi
Hey John, I'm not on Facebook but I'm really interested in a clinic when you pass through Michigan. Keep us posted. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk We're doing a clinic in Cleveland OH on Sep 13-14, I can probably fit in one more private lesson on Sep 16, then we'll be in Schaumburg IL for another clinic on Sep 20-21 before we head further west.
Jay Farlow
We're doing a clinic in Cleveland OH on Sep 13-14, I can probably fit in one more private lesson on Sep 16, then we'll be in Schaumburg IL for another clinic on Sep 20-21 before we head further west. Bummer. Was hoping a stop in SE or south-central Michigan would be in your plans, as that area is only an hour or two from me. Both Cleveland and Schaumburg are ca. 5-hour drives from here. Plus, the weekend after Schaumburg, I'm already planning to spend the entire weekend at the IKE retreat in NW Indiana. Keep us posted and I'll see what I can do.

Jay Farlow
We're doing a clinic in Cleveland OH on Sep 13-14, John: Where will details about the Cleveland clinic appear (when available)? At the moment, I see nothing at either of the following: https://www.facebook.com/johnbarresi/events http://johnbarresi.com/events/
Jay Farlow
Just found the Cleveland & Chicago casual clinic details. Google Maps says drive to each is same (just under four hours). My plan for now is to shoot for Cleveland, unless weather looks bad, in which case I'll blow off Cleveland and try to make Chicago. John Barresi
Sorry for the lagged reply, no good excuse except for being on the road. Cleveland - https://www.facebook.com/events/298222620364760/ Chicago - https://www.facebook.com/events/531021227043805/ I'll expound in another topic, thanks for your patience! GammoRay
Re: DC flying! Posted 28 August 2014 - 10:42 AM It's amazing that the Smithsonian(?) Wright Brothers display shows Wilber's drawing of the warped-wing control system, which relies on crossed lines for each handle (like a Rev handle with a twist), yet they incorrectly display the replica kite flying with un-crossed lines! The display must have led John astray, because he also is holding the lines incorrectly. However, John gets a bye, because we know that John can fly any kite, upside-down, backwards, or sideways, while blindfolded and holding his breath!
