kitedog Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 I just got my first taste of indoor kite flying and it was a blast. And you get lots of exercise to boot. Well I did because of my lack of coordination and wasted movements, hehe. I flew an indoor rev, a rev 1.5 setup with super ultra light spars, and a Wren. Now I am ready to make an investment for some indoor kites. The great part is the kites will also be usable for no/low wind days outdoors. Penny - Just to make sure, your kite was a rev 1.5 with super ultra light spars? The question I have is which indoor dual line kite is the best investment - "most bang for the buck?" I have looked at the Wren and it is a very nice kite and I enjoyed flying it and it is currently on the top of my list for kites to purchase. But I have also looked at the Pro Wren, Level One Amazing, and VIP by Lam Haoc. I am not stuck on any one kite and I am open to other options. Does anyone know if the Sea Devil comes with indoor option setup? I love that kite and the graphics. (thanks to John for letting me fly his at WISKF) But I do not want to have a kite that I keep stuffed in my bag because I graduated to another level. Any suggestions with some pros and cons? Penny Lingenfelter Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 Hey again Arnold. I think you flew the Rev. indoor. If it was the black and gold and looked like a rev. If you flew the multi colored orange and green old deco one ... that Lolly keeps telling me to throw away... Well that is a 1.5 with light spars in it. If you have rev.'s you can use light spars. It is much more difficult then learning the infoor, but lots of fun! I like the wren, but I'm not an avid dual liner. I have one of Lam's indoors, I should have brought it. Seriously. I think his kites can do things the others can't.... or is it the pilot? BB Penny Quote
shopteacher Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 YA.. I started on the HQ breeze.. went to a WREN-loved it---great to learn smooth moves andfloaty moves. you will outgrow it as you want to do poppy tricks. andit is REALLY sensitive to slightmovements ofthe air in a room... even from the movements of other kites.. we fly wrens as pairs in CHOAS EFFECT flew a LAM VIP... it was a blast I could get into it...but I have gravitated to singleline gliders 1 big one and 2 small ones come up to the UP THE RIVER on feb 11/12 andplay some more or go to LIncoln city in march 3 flying areas for fun at lincoln city Quote
