Savage_Justice
Hello, I'm completely new. What I'm interested in are the Parafoils like the Synapse 170 and would eventually like to get a revo. However, I don't know anything about kites and not sure where to begin. I also don't mind having multiple kites down the road. So, knowing where I wanna go, where should I start? I don't know my average winds but I live in Tampa, FL and have access to fields and beaches if that helps.
Mikelp3586
The synapse is a great start. My first kite was a synapse 200 still have it, was very easy to learn on and progress to bigger things! It will be helpful to have someone help you launch at first. Real simple design and can take a beatingSent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
makatakam
A (relatively) small parafoil is a great kite to learn with. The lack of a frame makes it very forgiving when you crash the kite, and it's a good intro to stunt kiting in general. It will give you a good idea of the dynamics of the wind window and how to work the wind to your advantage. Have fun, smile and don't forget to breathe. Juan Couto
How close are you to Treasure Island? The Kiting Tampa Bay Club meets on the third Saturday of each month behind the Thunderbird Hotel. There you will meet single, dual, as well as quad line flyers that can help you along. It's a good group of people, & a great beach to fly on.Go & have fun.Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
MORG59
I started with the Synapse 200 due to it being able to fly in lighter winds.
