cbabbman Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 I love my 2-4... especially when winds are marginal and I still want some decent pull.. I do have to say that living in Chicago with the crappy winds we get, I have become adept at flying something in the low winds... usually my 1.5 with the SUL rods in it... Of course, having a variey of Revs to fly helps out a lot.... Quote
ant man Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 i flew the 4.8 power blast and i couldnt beleave it would pull me i didnt think i would out pull my foils but it did Quote
sandman Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 Just be careful in high wind. You don't want your rotary cuff injured. Hmmm... I tore my rotary cuff about a year ago on a mountain bike. I'm due for surgery next month. I've flown the Blast a few times in some pretty stiff wind and my shoulder didn't feel bad at all. Quote
ant man Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 well as long as you take the downbridles off the kite wont pull as bad Quote
sandman Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 well as long as you take the downbridles off the kite wont pull as bad I've left the downbridles on. Quote
ant man Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 i took mine off a year ago and never put them back on Quote
Gaines Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 i took mine off a year ago and never put them back on *raises hand* Newb with a question. What are downbridles? I just got a used 4-8 and haven't yet had any steady winds to try it out. Quote
ant man Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 the downbridles are the 2 white bridles that connect to the top and bottom bridles of the blast.. the help with changeing the pitch of the kite .. some fliers like them .. i dont use them .. youll have to fly it to see if you like them or not .. if not you can remove them Quote
