  1. Its on Rascalkites.com but no one is there, no replies to an email, but I bet you can still imput a charge card number and buy vaporware kites.
  2. I contacted many people, Jim Nicholls who used to own one, Chris at Kitty Hawk Kites, Chris at HQ kites, Picture Pretty Kites and others. Not to be found anywhere, so I bought a few other kites instead. Maybe one day it will show up, but I doubt it.
  3. Strat-O-Flier HIgh Flier, the one with the Buck Rogers space ship on it, somewhere around 1960, and I was seven.
  4. Old post but still relevant I think. I bought a very large cloth with reinforced bottom laundry bag from Walmart, it has a draw string opening and a shoulder strap with outside pockets that zip closed, so all my small parts go in there, swivels and spar caps. It is cheap, holds twenty of my kites and easily replaced if it wears out. I carry tails, spools, and small kites in a bag I made from a nylon pillowcase, I put a drawstring in the opening.
  5. Usually a large tube has to have a lifter. The lifter can have quite a bit of pull. I don't know were you can find a tube/line laundry with that size diameter and length. You can look at aliexpress, where there are many show kites and tails for sail but not one that big I don't think. You want a big showy kite that will fly by itself, look at trilobites and octopus kites, many to choose from.
  6. I will be attending the Mile High Kite Festival in Banner Elk/Beech Mountain North Carolina. It is located on the slopes of Grandfather Mountain. If the weather is good its a blast. I will also be attending the Treasure Island Kite Festival Tampa Florida in January 2020. Both Festivals are easy to participate in and are well run, just pay attention to the rules they have posted and stay in the areas designated for your type of kite flying.
  7. Hello all. I am an avid single line kite flyer. I have what some might call a good collection of kites, all sizes and varieties to meet different wind conditions, all told about 30. My favorites are my two black 8m octopus kites, my Fullfar Tiger and Panda 2m lifters and my newest one is ITWs Quattrostelle which is on its way to me from Picture Pretty Kites, along with a George Peter's eleven ft Moth Delta. I intend to fly it with Prism Kites's 75 foot black and white tube tail. I am a photographer and story teller and take many kite pictures, some of which you can see here: Catch Some Wind. Thanks for allowing me into your community!

  9. It was a Martin Blias designed kite. Chris at Kitty Hawk Kites told me that it is no longer available at the retail level and has not been for some time. We also discussed the danger of the Rascal Kites site, it is an orphan that still takes money so be careful. I was given a good some money for my birthday to buy a sizable kite if I want it. Narrowing it down is hard. The guitar appealed to me for a particular purpose, I live in Galax Va and guitar picking is a very big thing around here, as is fiddle playing. Its too bad, but I will have to choose another eye catching single line kite. Something designed by George Peters maybe? I am partial to his large Hawk Moth Delta, which has a very good price, or a Hoffman kite. Any suggestions?
  10. High, new to this site. I am an avid kite flyer, own a bunch of them and I write about them too. Catch Some Wind! I need to ask something of the members here, anyone know where I can acquire a kite that was sold some years ago? It is a big Yellow Guitar inflatable kite with a white windsock tail. The tail has musical notes on it. Rascal kites has it on their website, but I don't know those folks. Thanks. T
