  1. First kite was a Benson Phantom copy called “Cheetah” [emoji16]. Still have it! It’s pretty loud in decent wind but still fun to fly! [emoji38]...Although it does need a little tlc: has a few tears on the LE that need to be fixed and the old vinyl hose fittings are a little long in the tooth... 3. Hi All, I’m sure this is old-hat for a topic but...I just can’t seem to get used to tail weights. Am I the only one? Do you like or dislike using tail weights on your dual? Do you find they make tricking that much better...or worse perhaps? Just curious...I just don’t seem to connect well to kites when there is a weight on the tail... As usual, thank you for any input!! 4. That makes sense good point. Thanks for the help! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  5. Thanks for the info! That makes a lot of sense... However is there a stiffer plastic tubing that is also used often? What I am seeing on my kites looks closer to a shiny black vinyl material, similar to end caps. Although, I guess it could also be that as the heat shrink tubing shrinks in size it also gets glossy, thickens up and stiffens looking more like vinyl?... 6. Just wondering what the best practice is on this...Should you de-tension the kite sail by undoing the elastic or cord at the wing tip nocks after every time you fly? Or just if you are storing it for a while?

  8. Just wondering...aside from molded plastic c-clip stoppers, is there a type of plastic/vinyl/rubber tubing also commonly used to make stoppers for carbon rods? I’ve see something like this on several (dual line) kites and it seems like a nice low profile way to go compared to the c-clips for some situations. Thanks for any info on this.
  9. Hey John! I’ve been away from sport kiting for several years but coming back strong. So glad to see this site going and the community.
