the weather here yesterday got gusts up to 90 mph and other than that we have seen no wind only rain and snow, i wouldnt mind going indoors, only problem is money. i could use some for sure! but come january i start working so im stoked to start spending.....and yeah will do mousie! hey, did you ever see any of your kites? great hearing from you all! i miss flying with everyone! -c

anybody know why there was only a page mentioning WSKIF which wasnt even about the event really, more a person in it? is this common?

i bought the kite at wsikf, and since then the spar has been used for a total of maybe 10 flying hours, i usually use my 2 wraps. and yes it snapped cleanly along the gold tape, perpendicular to the rod, and i take very good care of my kites, and i know their limits. By saying "breaks cleanly along the gold tape". Are you referring along the rod or across the rod. If it is along the rod, off hand, I would guess that something crushed the rod before the REV was flown. If it is across the rod, then I would guess it got a sharp blow from something. Was the rod used a lot? Was it new? If so was this the first flight? A clear photo of the break would be helpful.

dude, so i was flying yesterday, in roughly 13 mph wind. i lifted off, flew for about 5 minutes and my left wings spar breaks cleanly along the gold tape.......i was pissed! anybody have an explanation? im curious why a rod would break prematurely

ok that makes more sense. see my situation, with the lovely wind here in the tricities, its oh so gusty, and difficult to deal with. so basically the reason im having such a difficult time with reverse has nothign to do with me! its all the gusty wind, thats when all my problems happen! thx for the help guys!

hey guys thx for your help, i only wish there was a better way, cause honestly i feel like such a newb out there, trying to make my kite fly in reverse, failing, then starting over. oh well practice, practice, practice, honestly i dont mind!

ok so when i fly backwards with my rev i experience some rather odd flying patterns, its usually 1 not wanting to fly backwards, or 2 not flying straight, or even 3 just flipping a wing.......its frustrating.......so i was wondering what might be doing this, is it my knot settings on my handles? i use on the top the second to last knot, and on the bottom the last one, am i doing this right? :confused!:
