everest_4 Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Could someone tell me about the Prism E2, it's good points and bad .I just bought this kite so I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake although Prism seems to have a excellant reputation. Quote
windofchange Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 You'll have no regrets with the E2, excellent kite and it should have come with the Freestyle Pilot DVD which is included with all of the E2's. Quote
ant man Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 the e2 is a great kite it tricks nicely and peforms smoothly in a stronger blow it does have a pull but not a mean one they are great for fades too Quote
DaveH Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 The E2 is a great kite to learn tricks on. Extremely capable and forgiving. It doesn't track as well as a QP but its a great value for the money. Quote
JMPVW73 Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 It is a good kite but is heavy. It is very difficult to get this kite back in the air from an unplanned landing and doesnt float across a lapse in the wind as well as some lighter kites do. Quote
DaveH Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 You're right. Its no lightweight. I agree it has a bit of a heavy feel, especially in comparison to earlier Prism kites such as the Fanatic and Illusion. But that slightly heavy feel pays off in inertia, when it comes to pulling off more modern tricks. You're right. It doesn't float through wind lulls as well as other kites. Where I respectfully disagree is in ground recoveries. But we all find different kites work differently for each of us, so maybe its just personal preference. I own two of these and have found them very easy to recover on the ground and get back into flying position. Practicing launches such as leading edge launch, and what Prism calls the "sleeping beauty" can really help. A sleeping beauty type move to get the kite turned around for a standard launch works well, too. Before I got good at the pancake to fade launch, I used to pull from a pancake into the fade position and let the kite settle. Then I would pull one wing around ala "sleeping beauty" and get it into normal launch position. Dave Quote
ant man Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 that kite is a tank but it flies great if hendled right Quote
