I recently inherited a beautiful kite collection from my late Uncle. Our family used to own a condo down in South Padre Island and I know most of his collection came from an old kite shop down on SPI. I did a lot of research on each kite, I was impressed by the history of these kites & only one of them is missing a stand-off!

-replaced bridal with modern version, original race frame.

Can anyone tell me what the blue, vented dual line is? I am missing one button-snap standoff/spreader!

The more I learned about this collection the more I wanted to share it with the community! I would love to hear your stories and information about these beautiful kites!

Need help ID'ing this kite or the parts, hoping I can find or fab some replacement pieces, never seen the button snap style like this one. 

Am I using the correct terminology calling this a "stand-off" or is this piece a "spreader"?

That would be a TC Ultra....it is both a dual and quad liner as indicated by the way the bridle is configured. There should also be some acrylic handles that came with the kite.

Amazing! Thanks BT! that's definitely the kite! Explains the weird bridal too, I'll keep an eye out for some extra handles. Certainly interested to fly this thing now! The descriptions of the TC Ultra online remind me of what most folks say about my motorcycle - Kawi KLR650, is commonly referred to as "the Mule" because it'll do just about anything, but specializes in nothing.
