Dean750 Posted May 12, 2008 Report Posted May 12, 2008 I would like to thank Mr. Barresi for this site and for creating my kiting addiction. In the mid 90's I got the chance to see him fly in a Lincoln City compition. Flying a Red and Black Wasp. The complete control he exibited in 20+mph winds was incredible. I went from a weekend flyer to an 8 to 10 hours a day freak for a couple of years. At least 5 days a week. I doubt he remembers that day as the time he has spent in the sport, but I attempted my first ballet that day. Sort of anyway I was flying a purple M.E.F.M., set up ALL WRONG in too high of a wind. Laughable now, but I thought I'd never try competing again at the time. It seemed like everyone who had a clue wanted to know what I was thinking with the set up. If only I would have left the 6" wind tamer on instead of spazin about snagging it on the flat spin I had planned. Anyway, thank you Mr. Barresi for giving me the drive to be as perfect as I could be. Dean750 Quote
John Barresi Posted May 12, 2008 Report Posted May 12, 2008 Oh man, what can I say to that? Thank you Dean, I'm really pleased that you found joy in kiting... That's enough for me. Happy to help, when and where I can! Quote
