Dontchya just LOVE that GROOVY music.

Cool Vid John.

Wonder how many Revs you would need to stack to do this.

Just wondering you understand, no way you are going to see this fat old Bear doing scary stuff like that.

That's cool.

Maybe we can talk Mike McDonald into trying that at Kite Party! Although, it'd probably take a stack of Thor's Hammers to achieve that type of altitude.

Cheers,

Tom

That was 16 years ago---wonder if he's still as short as he was then!?!? :ani_weightlift:

PS You know I think Howard would be good at that! :ani_weightlift:

Duane,

Look closely and you'll see that he's using a harness to fly the kite stack. He's not taking the load through his arms. Still a neat trick though.

I noticed that Tom, cool pulley system.

I suppose the neat harnesses and bar things that are common now would not have been around a while ago.

Dean Jordan took a real bad crash on the beach doing this in the early 90's, shattered his pelvis...

Was tethered to a telephone pole, his helmet slipped over his eyes, and spring-SNAP!

I think he was on a giant stack of Flexis at the time.

Wow, busted pelvis. That hurts, or at least a few folks I looked after with that said it hurt.

I must admit if anyone ever told me it hurt, I was never tempted to try it, just to see if they were telling the truth.

I have seen a couple of folks flying tethered, lookss dangerous to me. Then again a lot of the stuff that is done with power type kite / stacks looks like it could hurt BIG time.

Glad the Revs dont pull too bad, as long as the conditions are sensible.
