Joespickles Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Howdy everyone. Sorry for what may be a simple question. But what are Yoyo stops. Tried searching found everything from yoyo's to weight loose. But nothing for kiting. Besides years of dual line flying with simple kites. I am very new to everything within the last twenty years of kites. Thanks. g 1 Quote
Joespickles Posted March 8, 2013 Author Report Posted March 8, 2013 Ps sorry for the violin pic. All my kiting pics are too big Quote
RobB Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Hey JP, They say a picture is worth 1,000 words so... They're used to catch the lines when you roll the kite up, then let it unroll. Do some searching on youtube for 'sport kite' or 'stunt kite' to see them in action. Or... @ 19 seconds... http://youtu.be/QosbyXBfbJk 1 Quote
Joespickles Posted March 8, 2013 Author Report Posted March 8, 2013 Thanks must86. Watched the video. Thanks. If a kite has them. Would you take them off if not planning on that stunt,, or just leave them be. Thanks Quote
RobB Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 There's no reason that I can think of to take them off. If you get a kite and the stops aren't installed (but included), don't feel like you should have to put them on. I have a few kites that I never bothered to install the stops, I never intended to roll them up. 2 Quote
