1olddiver Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 Hi, Thanks for approving my membership to this group. I've been flying stunt kites almost 11 years now, though in all honesty I really haven't improved much in the last few years. I kind of put more effort into the kiteboarding side of things. I live on the island of Guam and haven't had to endure a winter in over 11 years. Which is why I live on Guam. I've been a deep sea diver for the past 37 years, other than a couple of misguided attempts at thinking I was much good at anything else. I did drive an 18 wheeler delivering Bud Light to the thirsty folks in the south eastern states for awhile but that was more of a just trying to give a little something back to the communities. I'm a retired Navy Diver and spent 18 of my 20 doing it. I consider myself one of the luckiest guys alive. I love my work, where I live and I have the best family of friends here. My go to kite is an Exile. I love that thing. It knows a lot more tricks than I do and sometimes appears to pull some off with no input from me. As I've gotten more experienced, I can keep the look of surprise off my face when that happens and others are watching and occasionally even manage a fist pump. Same thing when I crash. It appears people will react more to what I do than what the kite does. I found this forum while looking for a replacement center 'T' the Exile. Thanks again for your "Welcome". Carey 2 Quote
