photomom
Just got finished with the Keystone Kiters Kitebuilding Workshop. This year's feature kite was the Drumbox. The weekend was fun, the camaraderie was great and the kite was a relatively easy sew. Looking forward to getting home and giving it its first flight. Kansas Flier
Cool looking kite. Have you gotten to fly it yet?

ACrop
Beautiful pattern in the color use. Did you sew the pattern? I assume is was not a pattered material. Sent from my Nexus 5X using KiteLife mobile app
Paul LaMasters
Most kites are sewn as overlapping pieces and then back cutting away the excess from each side of the sail (front/back). appliqué The sewing aspects represent about 10% of the overall kite-building effort. Kind of like painting a wall, all that taping, edging and cutting in, moving furniture around and throwing tarps down for splatters = most of the time spent.
