Posting embedded/hosted images?

Can we post embedded/hosted images here? It seems to be an option, at on point while I was trying, it (the site) even said it was going to do it automatically, but every time I try I just get a link. It's very possible I'm just doing something wrong, but the usual ways don't seem to be working for me.

Off-site images are working for me two ways via WEB BROWSER (won't work in KL or Tapatalk apps)...

1 - paste the URL to the image directly into a post, then wait a moment for it to load.

2 - click "insert other media" > "insert image from URL"

Example in mid-stream (you can see the system message about automatically embedding the image):

Thanks, JB. I tried all that and even got the system message, but it still just displays the link instead of the image. It must be something on my end, I'll try again later. At least now I know that it should be working.
