johnnmitchell Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 thanks for the link john. But 15.SLE does not seem to be available at the moment and I am not at spanish May be, there are another shops in europe... I have to look at that. Nicolas I would suggest calling them and asking about the availabilty. Domingo speaks good english and I suspect some French. Jose does not speak any english, but I think I heard him speaking some French once. You could also try: http://webshop.chill-out.org/ in Augsburg, Germany. They offer the REV 1.5 SLE at €199 including tax. It include handles and video. They ship free to France at this price. COD is a different case. No idea about availability. They speak excellent English, no idea about French. I suggest that you call them to find out the availablility. Phone is: +49 821 - 667509 Hope you make a good deal and get what you want. ciao, John Quote
windofchange Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Would just like to add that our shop also carries the 1.5 as well as all other models of Rev's and shipping overseas is no problem. If you can purchase the kite locally then you will be able to save some money on possible customs charges that could be applied to your shipment in addition to any shipping charges charged by the store. Customs charges are usually added to the shipment upon delivery and will vary in price from one country to another. Before you have the kite shipped to you, you may want to check your local customs office to see if there will be any additional charges that you will have to pay for. Just a little advice that may help you in your purchasing decision. Quote
Beach Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 While I wouldn't say that the mylar rips easily on a 1.5, an all ripstop sail simply flies better... See if your local shop can order one, and if not, you'll be fine with the mylar.Rob's bad experience with mylar was on a Rev I... I've never seen it rip on a 1.5, it's just a little "slipperier" in the air, when flown by a skilled pilot. John, John you and mylar Im going to have to see about building you a all Mylar Rev1 just to show that slipperier can be good no really they all seem to handle about the same for me here in Diego where I fly mostly I use that slip for my side slides and I can tell the difference in the light wind here Ben at the Beach from Rev Quote
John Barresi Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Of course Ben, everything comes down to personal style and taste. That bit about the mylar is what I've found in my own experiences, and most of the competitive fliers I've spoken with about it. Quote
