Does anyone from the area know of hotel options or discounts to festival flyers? Be looking for travel mates to split costs from east coast. Trying to make it happen. Thanks!

I believe I am in for wskif 2019 if you will put up with me. I too am interested in a group option to have more fun and less cost.

Speaking with Bill offline and tickets from Norfolk are 480 to Portland. Rental van, gas and overnight stay make flying the way to go unless we get 6-8. U sure of room costs yet.

Discounts?? LOL!!! The town milks every penny out of the festival attendees. I have friends that found it cheaper to rent their RV space for the whole month of August, than the 2 weeks around WSIKF. Last year saw about 5 or 6 folks do the monthly thing. Won't be a bit surprised to see more this year.

You might also look into rental houses, great for groups of 4-8 people.

Anyone headed to WSKIF??
OK, some things have been in flux at home.  I got side tracked and am now debating whether to commit and head to WSKIF 2019 or not.  I need to jump soon if I am gonna do it.  But going alone sounds lonely. 

I know I won't be lonely on the flying field, but being part of the group at clinics has made costs reasonable and  everything more fun, so I would like to find something similar.  

Anyone out there looking to group up on lodging/car rental for the week?  I promise I am not a scary person - I think that Riff might even vouch for me as a decent sharer- that should be worth a lot.
