I see mention on this forum of Sedgewick Revs.

What's the difference between one of those and a standard Rev 1?

Are Sedgewicks still made, if so, who sells them?

Sedgwick and Taft Rev I's are the hot blues and Red/Orange colored Rev I.'s You could call them both Sedgwick kites, as the 2 eventually got married and lived happily ever after for some years. Saddly, Susan Taft-Sedgwick passed away from Cancer last year. Lee Sedgwick is a great innovator who brought us dog staking and made no wind kiteflying look easy over 10 years ago.

Does Rev still sale them? I'm not sure.

My favorite mix is the Quad Squad colors of P9innk, purple, teal and florescent yellow.

I believe that the Sedgwick Signature Series is still available. Best thing to do is to check with your favorite Revolution-supplied kite store to see if they have any. It seems to me that the last time I was at Kites Unlimited in Atlantic Beach, NC, they had some. But you could contact some of the online stores also.

Go to www.revkites.com and you can see the Sedgwick Rev 1s. Yes they are still available. I got one about 6 months ago with the Two Wrap Frame. Great Kite. I'm glad I got it.

Are they modified in any way or do they fly as the standard Rev1, with teh changes purely cosmetic?

Not really modified in any special way...they are a bit different than the standard Rev 1's tho. The Sedgwick Rev 1 is all nylon sail, no mylar. And the color pattern is quite different than the standard Rev 1's. You can order the Sedgwick Rev 1 with both the Standard Leading Edge (1/4" rod) or with the SLE (super leading edge). We have supplied them with either Leading Edge and have also had a few ordered with the SUL leading edge (2 wrap rod).
