riffclown Posted September 24, 2019 Author Report Posted September 24, 2019 Panels were sewn today. LE was formed and ready to fold. Bridle and bag are also completed. LE will be White with Red stitching. Trying to decide between Red or Orange for edge binding now.. 2 Quote
riffclown Posted September 25, 2019 Author Report Posted September 25, 2019 Only Edge Binding and Framing remain.. Little oops, I forgot to adjust my initial panel sizes for the symmetrical sail (due to the venting). When I got everything lined up I ended up having to do a bottom trim wedge to give me the proper size. Given the silver along the outer edge, I think it actually accented the overall look. 1 Quote
riffclown Posted September 27, 2019 Author Report Posted September 27, 2019 Kite is finished. Decided Red for the Edge Binding and Yellow for the wear strips. Will try a bridle test and a few pics tomorrow during daylight if possible. First flight will be Waynesboro (weather and wind permitting) 1 Quote
riffclown Posted September 27, 2019 Author Report Posted September 27, 2019 I guess tomorrow will be the bridle test AND first flight but was able to get a few pics of the completed kite. Quote

riffclown Posted August 28, 2020 Author Report Posted August 28, 2020 This kite has a new temporary home.. Quote
John P Posted November 16, 2020 Report Posted November 16, 2020 I had a chance to fly one of these the other day in OBX. It was 10-15 mph winds and the kite flew very well. It was very responsive and was not pulling me across the sand. In the high wind it was much easier to fly than my OSK Vertigo. 1 Quote
