  1. I see three designs, but cant tell what the 4th one is. I just see the 4 spars on the right of the photo. How do you like the Zero-G. I've been thinking about getting one.
  2. I wonder what is up next for this drawing... The suspense is killing me.
  3. Just a peek of my Rev.
  4. The center spar was fine. The ferrules were on good. The outer spar is the one that broke. It looked like it had unraveled where it went over the ferrule. Bill put a ferrule where it unraveled and glued it down. He put a small sleve on top of that. It worked fine after that. I felt a gust of wind when I was up about 50 feet from ground and then I saw the leading edge fold a bit. I brought it down right away and noticed that broken spar.
  5. I had a 4 wrap crack on my leading edge at SPI, Tx a couple of months ago. Surprisingly, the rev remained in the air and I was able to land despite the strong wind. Bill from B&S Kites repaired it for me and I was back up and flying in no time. --oscar
  6. Yeah, I did a search and found very little info. I was just looking for a place to go hang out and see what I could get for my collection. Hopefully there will be a nice breeze out there. Here at home it has been too still. --oscar
  7. Nice. My birthday is this month.
  8. I am taking a trip to San Antonio, Tx. Does anyone know if there are any kite shops around the area? I haven't been able to find much information. Thanks, Oscar
  9. I am a new kite enthusiast and have not been at it for long. However, I picked up the nexus as one of my first kites and it was a blast to play with. I crashed several times and nothing broke. The line set it came with was fine for me as a beginner.
  10. Very nice choices.. I initially bought me a prism nexus and it was great. Decent price and nice small package. I got a rev 1.5 B after that, and havent regreted it a bit. I am saving up for my next delta and rev.
  11. I'm winning this. So everyone else can drop out now!!! I'm so ready for this. I even have the next karma prize. It's a handmade ...
  12. Thank you for the feedback. I do have several line sets in both LPG and Skybond. I do like them both. Skybond is great when you have a gopro straped to a headband. You can clearly see the lines. A friend of mine built me a Skybond set at South Padre Island and it felt different than the lpg. I put about 100 feet of the fishing line on a prism nexus and it flew ok. I am not an expert or have many hours flying, but it was fun and thats what I liked. Once I was done, the fishing line had a powdery feel to it.
  13. I recently purchased several spools of Spiderwire stealth-braid for my fishing reels. As I wa sreplacing the lines I noticed the stealth-braid felt a lot like the Skybond lines. The color is about the same, the texture feels about the same. I am sure it would be ok to use on a single line kite, but has anyone evere used it on a two line or quad? If there is any stretch on the line, how much would be negligible? I guess I will sacrifice a spool and build a line set and see how it goes.
  14. Can throwing also be done with a 1.5 or B series? Whats the best way to do throw it and catch it?
  15. Thank you all for the awesome advice. This is my first time on a quad and I was really impressed by John's videos that I decided to get a 2nd rev. I can already see this will not be my last one. I still need a lot of practice, but I feel I am in the right place to learn. Semper Fi. Oscar
  16. Hello. My name is Oscar and I am just starting out in my new kite hobby.. I am a Paramedic in the state of Texas. I find that flying a kite seems to take away a lot of the stress from work. I just recently bought a Rev 1.5 B and a Widow NG. I was out at South Padre Island when I saw the Rev for the first time and I knew I had to try one.
  17. Oh Yeah! I'm in.
