  1. I guess "i got whump" if "you hold my beer" Right? Looks good?!
  2. Oh dear. So much more to learn. Thx 🙂
  3. Ha Ha :-) My Djinn landed today after 15 weeks. The first impression is great! Now I got whump! But what exactly is whump? Google doesn't help and doesn't translate into German :-(
I did my practice today in glorious weather. Surprisingly I find the change of the grip position very difficult. I understand the background and the intention in John's recommendation - but I find it difficult to implement it. Small tutorial - big effect!
  4. I also do the Club 38. It is always a good start for beginners. But I agree @riffclownand @John Barresi. Here you will find the better training and the better teacher. But to answer your question: Maybe Jst-4fn Basic Team Flying-Manual will help you. There are some patterns to practice: https://revkites.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/JST-4-FN-team-standaard-English-1.000.pdf
Great! Good practice! Simple and effective. You can also test different kites very quickly. And it is fun :-)
Oh, my goodness. It looks so easy! So get out there and practice... practice... practice... :-)
Nicely and simply explained. Too bad that there is no part II. Would have liked to hear more about the effect of the bottom lines, individual knot ladders - but also tuning on the bridle or ... or... or ...
Good tips and explanation to the lines. I got short lines and can only confirm the recommendation.
Jaws Great introduction to the topic. The matching article is also exciting to read. Thanks!
Quarter, 8, Diamond, Square, Mix it up.... i became dizzy and I fell from the couch 🙉 Great tutorial!
I will try this! Well explained. Learned something.
Interesting topic. Well explained. Learned something.

  7. Do you know Spiderkites from Germany? The Smithi kills nobody but flies a bit like a Rev. https://shop.spiderkites.com/Smithi-11-PS-Ventex_1 I have one in custom colors and the new sail "P-30 Denier". "Ventex" is no longer available.
  8. @riffclown Thanks for the feedback. That makes sense. The bonus is great. But they are regular "2 Feathers" rods; no race ;-)
  9. I got a Rev 1.5 from the wife and I am confused what kind of Rev it is. I find conflicting information on the web. It was the last Rev 1.5 WITHOUT reflex, which could be found in a webshop in Germany, UK and Netherlands (please correct me if I am wrong!). I bought it blind without any picture and details :-) The Rev comes with "3 Feathers Ultra Light" rods and a second frame set "2 Feathers Professional Use". The weight is 240 g/8.46 oz. It is - a REGULAR 1.5? But then why is there a second set of rods named "SUL"? - a SUL? The frame set says "SUL" on it. But didn't the SUL have a much lower weight of about 180 g/6 oz? - a SLE? The color layout lime/black indicates this (Google image search). But then the imprint "SLE" should be on the sail, right? Can you help?
  10. Yes. Like the Rev Speed Series. In the YT Video Chriss (the kite maker) is flying it. In the FB post you see the first prototype (the black one) vs my kite.
  11. I love to fly my Stealth from cengel-kites.de. The Stealth is a trick machine, which has a similar flight behaviour as a Rev - if you like. By changing the bridle (other knots and removing the "activator") it becomes a trick kite. Look here youtu.be/ and here facebook.com/bunduki.vlieger
  12. Yes! I like to see that 🙂
