  1. Sorry, should have let you all know. Went for a Beetle in the end. Wife loves it. Supposed to be fairly indestructable, I still managed to break it though!! Fixed now and all is well. And the Fanatic is up and runing again. Cheers all. Thanks for the info.
  2. That certainly is a nice looking kite. A great first post. Well done.
  3. Aha, sorry to not be clear. In this case I meant kites not lines.
  4. Dear Guru4tru, I am having difficulty in deciding 4 line or 2 line. I am leaning towards 4 line. Can you please offer me advice on this difficult decision. Should I use 4 line, to the exclusion of 2. Or even 2 line to the exclusion of 4. However should I ultimatly more fully embrace line'ism and go for single as well as 2 and 4. Thank you for any advice you might be able to offer me.
  5. I need all the help I can get.
  6. Like those colours. And welcome indeed. When you getting your next Rev, you do know it is habit formig?
  7. Ah Ha, just noticed "it" on the Forum home page. Cute little think, quack, quack.
  8. Nope, sorry, only the normal yellowish type ones. Quack quack quack. Well in the last few Weeks anyway.
  9. Seconded, all in favour?
  10. I had a Rasta Flexifoil Sting. Always liked those colours. Look forward to seeing the Rev, hope it arrives soon. Bazzer sent me a picture of the sail B4 it was finished when I ordered my Pro. Made me want it even more.
  11. Saw some similar, if not identical ones at Bristol, my initial thoughts, I NEED one of those. Hpefully I will soon be getting 2.
  12. You just got it Duane. Just watched it carefully and I can see. No one can be so accurate in real. Also explains the phenomonmomnomen of Sevie D being able to fly 2 Revs at once. now we all konow that is just impossible. And I recon JB is actually a Hollogram. Come to think of it when iQuad were here in the UK it looked like there was a big "green screen" up there and all the "action" was being projected. (BIG Grin) Oh and Felix, I am just getting my head around a kite with 4 lines that I can make go up down left right spin etc. and now you are suggesting it might be a good idea if I try to do the same with a SINGLE line kite. <grin>
  13. OK thanks for that John, BTW I should mention some of the stuff I DO like about the new Forum. I like, the little nag type screen, which isnt a nag at all, the one that gives you the info about your Subscription and the date etc. The nice recent gallery pics, brightens it up nicely. Pretty much got to say, like it more the more I look at it, however I need lots more time to understand it.
  14. I quite like the Classic Blue and the Pro Classic, I know I said about the good old colour on another post. Just for info, when I clic to view the Classic Blue it will not let me "back" button to go back to the proper forum, and on the Pro Classic I have to resize the screen quite a lot to view it. Comes up in slightly less than half the screen.
  15. So call me stupid if you like, no on second thoughts dont, it might overload the system. OK, so found the bit about "todays active content" and the drop down to view day, week etc. Is there a way for me to alter it so when I click View new content you can get the drop down. Or even instead of viewing new content I can go straight to active content so I get the drop down if I want. My thoughs are that if content is active, that means there must be new posts in it. Surely active and new content are the same or similar. (Must admit I have not actually looked to see if they are the same.) Cuz to be active there must have been new content added to it? In other words, what I would like to be able to do is the same as on the Rev forum, look to see what is new since last time I looke, and be able to easily look at what happend last week if I suddenly think summat stupid to say on it. Obviously there might be an easy way to do that, sorry but I just cant see it.
  16. OK, I know this is stupid, but I already like the "Classic" skin, cuz it is more the same colours as I am used to.
  17. Sounds good John, I am sure it will look good too. Must admit, the more I look at this the better I feel about it. However I still prefer the old version. Maybe just cuz I was uased to it. One option I do realy miss is the way you can easily choose to view last week, month etc. Probably that will be like the old version in the upgrade?
  18. Just told Una John. She said "oh brill" bit of an understatement I would say.
  19. Howard, dont joke about cornering JB or any of the iQuad crowd, go and DO it. Unless they are REAL busy they will give you time. Go and see Ben from Rev, I am sure he will help you out. You could probably walk up to anyone who is actually flying a Rev they own and they will happily give you a go on the handles. Dont forget some of the folks who are flying Revs will be doing exactly what you should be doing, getting the cance to talk with folks who know more than thaey do. And trying out different Revs. And yes, there is a new Rev on the way out, specially designed for light wind work. As I think I said B4, the cheapest way to get a lighter wind Rev is get another rod set for your EXP, I am fairly sure a Race set would fit it fine. Mate if you come away from the Fest without at least talking to JB, iQuad, Ben, Watty and SO many other folks you will have missed a BIG oppertunity. GO for it my friend. You will not regret it.
  20. Oh yes, another bit of advice, if you have not already done it. Go the Revkites.com and log on the the Rev Forum. Loads of good info on there. And welcome to the Wonderful World of Rev.
  21. Well if you want a kite for lower wind go for a Rev 1, maybe a Sedgwick. If you want one for lumpy gusty wind of course you want a Vented. You could get a lighter Rod Set for your EXP, an exelent starter Rev BTW. Honest answer, if you are going to WSIKF, try as many Revs as you can get your hands on, I am sure there will be plenty of folks there that can offer you better advice than me. I wish I was going there.
  22. I have got a couple of soft foils hanging around somewhere, for the devil of me cant find them. Begger cuz I wouldnt be down a kite if I had found them. Must have leant them out or summat.
  23. Thanks for the replies guys, Una popped the spar by jerking the lines with the kite on the floor ready to go. Snapped it at the joint. The new frame sounds a good idea. Worth looking at. Must admit was thinking about a Quantum.
  24. Hi all, my wife, bless her little cotton socks. Has started wanting to fly my dual lines. Unfortunatly she managed topop one of the leading edge spars on a Prism Fanatic today, no probs as I expect I can get another spar, I am SO glad it was not the Sea Devil she was using. Now she is worried that she will break it again once it is fixed. Any reccomendations for bomb proof kites that are still interesting enough for me to enjoy once / if she will not fly any more. Thanks. Chris.
  25. That is realy cool Jon. Just think though, if you get the beer cans too you can get 2 go's at the kite.
