  1. And the jousting begins. HUZZAH!!!
  2. LOL.. by the time I don't win this the spring winds will have died down to a nice un-vented level... Thanks John, I look forward to the banter these prizes brings out
  3. I can't find the milk and cookies in the rev forum?!!?!
  4. I like your no snag method... I have solid 3/8" aluminum that I drilled a hole from the ends and a slightly bigger hole from the side so I can hide a knot in the bigger hole and have the same effect... your way is easier...
  5. Well now you will have to order a Zen Kite....
  6. Get busy
  7. Look out Duane... slippery slope ahead
  8. Hmmm...that is troubling!?!? Do they have a "Kite-aholics Anonymous"?? Keep It Up! Duane Yes but you have to give up your kites... that may drive you to drinking...
  9. I little humor while we wait?!?!
  10. Thank you for this thread.. I have not had this problem yet but know I know it can happen and I will be checking my LE rods more often to watch for problems before they arise (I hope)
  11. I went on a Pilgrimage to find my self.... I'm still looking
  12. ROTFL How true that is... I think I need a T Shirt that says that... or at least a first aid kit
  13. I don't know but he must be half the man he used to be, I suppose???
  14. Some times its not how well you do your craft.. its how well you hide your mistakes... I think it looks great...
  15. On this episode of "Pimp My Kite Caddy" you just need one of these... you could hook your rocket launcher like a trailer...
  16. I for one think its just fine if you conspire to share your good fortunes... (especially since I am going to win )
  17. I was just quoting the song that came to mind when I saw that your 5 dualies were jealous and on the verge of rebellion.. I put my money on Elvira... she has lots of moxy The Doors, 'Five to One' I agree that there is pleasure in all the different kites... I went down to see family this weekend and got to fly my REV while my little nephew ran around with an urban ninja SLK in tow.. about 30 to 45 minutes.. he had more fun than me I think... Not sure about the Florida trip... I will have to email my friends and see if that project is still a dream or not...
  18. good catch... I think he is referring to the 0.6 oz... I know I am... missed a (dot) in there some where... I don't think Steve sells anything that heavy
  19. Hi Bill, I've had cats all my life...and from all that experience...You are RIGHT..and..I "KNOW"-their more intellegent that I am, but they let me "pretend" I'm the Top Gun...>>>as I feed them, >>>clean up after them, >>>let them out and in on their command,>>>take care of any problems they might have,>>>and pet and scratch them untill they feel comforted! But the ILLUSION that "I'm the greater of us" is all I have...so don't take that ILLUSION from me!! (and you only probably know that because you're in the same boat!) Keep It Up! Duane I think maybe cats secretly rule the world and the whole financial crises is because friskies changed the flavor of there sea food flavored dry food... (hopefully I am wrong
  20. Thats slick.. I like it... but me thinks the cat knows it is a new handle for the cat's toy... and you just have not figured it out yet... but that is the way of cats...
  21. The 6 oz poly should make some pretty good kites... it is lighter than the average kite fabric.. if you poke around the forum at kitebuilders you will find plenty of info for getting that sewing machine going and plenty if simpler kite building projects... you can build a cheaper quad... you can build a more personal quad but it will take a few years of sewing and fussing to build a better quad... by then Rev will be a couple of quad designs ahead of you) plenty of fun and colorful kites to be made... then you could just tie them to your tree and take a nap in the shade.... When your ready
  22. Pssst, Duane, check out the IKE method of flying in the heat! Cheers, Tom hope that tree is a fast grower... looks kinda small for a full club event
  23. You could come visit the cooler northern half of the country... 20 yards will make one... very big quad... :confused!: I bet if you ask around you can find a free sewing machine just waiting for you in the closet of a close friend... I think its funny that us northern kiters build in the winter and fly in the summer... and you sandbar dwellers Floridians are the other way round....
  24. Nice Work... I like the recessed lid and the pin to hold it open... no wheels and an end handle for this one?!?!?! you will need to add an extension for the Zen... it is a little longer
