Quad KiT Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Ben cheats, he works for REV. That is why his stack is so huge. Ben, did you receive my birthday card yet? Quote
Baloo Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 Thanks for that Ben, it is so fantastic, the sense of community with Rev fliers. I am sure nurtured so much by the easy interaction with "Rev" itself and the obvious love and respect from both sides. I have recieved so much help on the different forums. I think I can officialy say I am an addict now. Got 5 proper Revs and a ripoff SuperSonic which I bought as a Rev so paid over the odds for it. Lolly recons she might have made my Rev 1 as it has the lined end caps which make it a bit of a veteran. Unfortunatly starting to show its age but still flies well. My Rev B order is about to go is as well. That is all in the space of about 12 months. Just wish the wind was better. Allways gusty here, that is when there is any!! My intention is to either make a Rev 2, Rev EXP, Rev 1 stack or more probably 3 Rev 2's. Am ordering the lines for it. I will definatly call for help if I need it. Hope you like MY card Ben. Dont forget to wear the badge on your birthday. Getting closer. Just a quick check, yep loads of room for the Birthday kite when it arrives. I LOVE all the masterpieces, but those Eye ones. FANTASTIC. Ps, Monkey, a little bird tells me you are expecting a new arrival. Pictures please, with the proud father of course. Quote
Baloo Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 Oh yes, one concern. Will 90 lb lines be OK for the 3 stack Rev 2's? Quote
ant man Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 all of this stack talk has got me wanting to go with a 1.5 stack its about time i did it so now i will be planning on doing that too on top of buliding my first rev sail Quote
Baloo Posted February 2, 2007 Author Report Posted February 2, 2007 Now you are going to make me want to build a sail!! Quote
Penny Lingenfelter Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Ps, Monkey, a little bird tells me you are expecting a new arrival. Pictures please, with the proud father of course. OK, He better be talking about kites. lol BB Penny Quote

Quad KiT Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 Maybe this view will help you count! Actually, I don't count them as stacks but if you did it would be safe to say 5 REV 1.5s, 5 REV IIs, 3 SSs. Quote

I have a tendacy to rape and pillage old kites for parts. BB Penny Many are hand made? The photos were usually taken within a year of the date of the kite. Sadly enough many are not in such good condition any more or I have given them away or in a couple cases trashed the sail. I have only spars for about half of my REVs. For more details on all of my REVs past and present look at: http://home.arcor.de/johnmitchell/MyRevs/M...olutions-2.html Enjoy, Quote
Quad KiT Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 At this time I always enter into the replication of a patented item debate. Is it "kosher" to make a revolution style kite? Even if the design is not exactly REV specs but looks just like a REV? Even if you don't put the real or fake logo on it? Even if it is not for monetary gain? I think that is the only reason I have not ventured there currently because I don't know if it is cool or not... Thoughts? Quote
