quincy Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 Who makes the best KAP rigs now adays? Most Durable? Most economical? Most adaptable/flexible? A lot of people make their own. In the US, you can't go wrong with one of Brooks Leffler's rigs. Brooxes Kits It all depends on what type of camera you plan to hang up there. Doug 1 Quote
MalMan Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 Brooks Leffler sells some great KAP kits, if you already have the BEAK, you know what I am talking about. I purchased my rig in 2007 and have been using it ever since. Last year I decided that I wanted to add a tilt component to my BEAK. Nothing was available so I set about creating my own. I have called the rig modification the PPT BEAK, achieved by adding to and using all the parts of my BEAK. This new rig now pans and tilts as you autoKAP, adding an exciting and fun element to an already enjoyable and interesting hobby and excuse for flying a kite. This short video shows how the new rig works. Peter Quote
PorridgeFactory Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 I agree with the Brooks set. I just bought a delux kit to use with a 5D mark II and have been very pleased so far. Only 2 flights under my belt but things seem to be running smoothly ... and no crashes yet Quote
