Erm.. Fall is coming...

How fast it flies huh?

I mean, Here it is January, and you're going mad planning for your wedding for July, thinking that things are going to slow down afterwards only to find out that you are completely wrong -- time stays the same -- things get more busy -- money gets tight --

and then

BAM!!

Its friggin Fall!!??

Now there's not much more time left for flying, and here I am thinking about waterproofing my kite so I can fly in the rain! o.0 Seriously.. I'm doin it..

I haven't been flying much since the wedding. Kiting was a major stress outlet for me during the planning phase -- also a major distraction. My life has a way of wandering sideways if I don't keep a close eye on it -- behavioral patterns, ways of thinking, inaction, etc... -- which was fine when I was single I suppose (but not really), but since I moved to be with my now wife, my life kind of went a little sideways over the course of the last 3 years.

So needless to say, I needed to cut my distractions off, face forward and get back on track -- mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually -- which is why I haven't flown much since August. I've been reconnecting with myself, meditating, reading, getting back in shape, climbing out and rising above of the conservative sh1thole job I must endure and not get swallowed into each day.

Everything in moderation right?

My friends back home use to call me "Jonez". Moderation wasn't in my vocabulary. Its there now, but when I turn sideways, it disappears, so the key to my success in life is to not turn sideways. lol

So I've been geting back out there in the flying field, in moderation -- 2 times this month -- and of course, its like getting back on a bicycle -- you always know how to ride, and when you get back on "the horse" things are easier, more natural, and you can focus better on the things that were giving you such a hard go when you threw the bike down in anger the last time you fell off.

Whats the point of this post? Who knows. Guess a part of me is just venting, and wanting to fill the community in on my absence. Mostly I think its so I can nail my life into reality (as real as ones and zeros can get, if ya dig) -- nail something to the wall to look at and for others to look at.

So

umm

That's it I guess.

Thanks for reading KL. :sign_kitelife:

-Cheers

Awesome JoneZ, rock it. :innocent:

Fall/Winter will be time for me to work on video tutorials, web site projects and training TK to rock the kite scene. :sign_kitelife:

Also got a new, top secret project rolling that is gonna blow the doors off this joint... Can't say anything now, just want to tease ya. <grin>

Indoor flying fills the winter kite void for me. Looking forward to the Camas indoor event in November and Windless in January. Hangin with kite friends is good.

Going sideways from time to time? --it happens. We endure it, learn, and move on to stuff that's more fulfilling.

See ya on a field somewhere Jonez. Maybe some street flying?

Is it the Zen?

Nope... We started on that roughly a year ago.

My new project is still at least 7-8 months from seeing the light of day, or reaching public ears. :D

It's not Rev-related, and I won't answer *any* questions about it.

Spz0, looks like we'll be at PIR this weekend, weather allowing...

Call my usual number if you want to confirm that we're there. ;)
